Remedial Retaining Wall Replacement
Chippendall Street, Speers Point
The Chippendall Street, Speers Point project involved the replacement of a dilapidated timber retaining wall with a new, structurally sound steel and precast concrete retaining wall on a challenging sloping site. Avid Project Management delivered the project in collaboration with Lake Group Strata, MPC Consulting Engineers and Holmes Civil Developments. The $500,000 remedial project required careful planning to address both the technical and environmental complexities of the site.
Managing a complex remedial project
Replacing the retaining wall required careful coordination to overcome site constraints while maintaining compliance with an existing remediation action plan. The project also involved negotiating access deeds with neighbouring properties, ensuring environmental obligations were met and construction activities were carefully managed throughout the works.
