Cumberland Gardens is a proposed Seniors Living village comprising 40 Individual Living Units and a Community Centre, which was recently DA-approved. It is positioned on the former Onesteel recycling centre in Wallsend, NSW. The site was previously contaminated with significant levels of heavy metals and hydrocarbons, which have now been treated after successful implementation of the Remediation Action Plan. Construction of the Seniors Living village is expected to commence in mid-2021.
