Junction Fair Childcare Centre
Junction Fair Childcare Centre, owned by Stirling Property Funds represented a pioneering approach to integrating childcare facilities within existing commercial spaces. This groundbreaking project integrated a 4-storey childcare facility within the existing Junction Fair Shopping Centre.
The architecturally designed facade, created by CKDS Architecture, complements the established daycare operator’s standards and guidelines set by regulatory bodies, ensuring the highest quality environment for children.
The $8 million dollar centre, built by Collaborative Construction Solutions, boasts multiple open spaces, maintaining the right ratios for outdoor and indoor play areas. This balance of innovative design and practical functionality ensures a feasible project that meets the needs of children, carers and parents alike.
Managing a live site
Located on a unique and compact site, this development required careful project planning and coordination to ensure seamless integration with the live shopping centre environment. The project involved complex stakeholder management and the relocation of Ausgrid services to facilitate construction.
This development was designed to accommodate 109 children, dedicated parking and three levels of classrooms, amenities, and landscaped playgrounds tailored to different age groups.
By integrating a childcare centre within a shopping centre, the project offers convenience for parents and caregivers, allowing them to manage their daily activities efficiently. This innovative approach to childcare facility management sets a new standard for future developments, demonstrating the potential for multi-functional urban spaces to enhance community living.
