Tallowood Medowie
Tallowood is a premium land lease community for over-55s in Medowie, offering an extensive range of recreational facilities and green open spaces. Developed by Vivacity Property, the community comprises 221 architecturally designed homes, with construction commencing in January 2020 and reaching completion in July 2026.
Avid Project Management oversaw the delivery of the development in collaboration with dwellings contractor Valley Homes, civil works contractor Woodbury Civil and Country Club contractor Skelcon.
Delivering an active lifestyle community
At the heart of Tallowood is its award-winning Country Club, which includes a wellness centre, gym, cinema, heated indoor pool, sauna and outdoor swimming pool. Residents also have access to an undercover all-weather bowling green, tennis and pickleball court, outdoor kitchen facilities and a community hobby shed.
The community is surrounded by more than 90,000 square metres of regenerated bushland, with 1.5 kilometres of walking trails. The regeneration works also expand the koala migratory corridor through the Port Stephens region.
Managing complex infrastructure works
Delivery of the community involved extensive civil works, storm water infrastructure and flood mitigation measures, together with the installation of water, gas, sewer and fire services throughout the development.
