Purpose-built emergency services facility supporting maritime safety
Marine Rescue Newcastle
The $3 million Marine Rescue Newcastle project involved the development of a new two-storey emergency services facility near the south Stockton boat ramp, providing critical infrastructure to support maritime safety across the Newcastle region.
Funded through the NSW Government’s COVID-19 Stimulus Program, Avid Project Management oversaw the delivery for Marine Rescue NSW, working alongside architect SDA (Space Design Architecture) and contractor COWYN Building Group.
Delivering critical emergency services infrastructure
Constructed on Crown Land, the purpose-built facility was designed to support Marine Rescue NSW’s operational, training and volunteer requirements.
The new base incorporates the latest generation marine radio equipment, dedicated training facilities, boat storage, volunteer amenities, a crew-ready room and berthing facilities.
